Want more for your life but not sure where to start?
RISE has spent more than a decade reminding people that the best is still to come. We work with individuals and families to dream of the reality they want for their families. We then support members making it a reality.

Our home location is in Springfield, Missouri however we have expansion sites throughout the state for ease of access.

RISE (Reaching Independence through Support and Education) is a holistic program designed to help individuals and families move from crisis to contribution. Backed by a decade of experience serving families and individuals across Missouri, RISE uses data-informed practices and personalized support to empower lasting change. Through education, supportive relationships, and connection to community resources, RISE staff partner with members to identify meaningful goals, strengthen pathways toward success, and build the confidence and agency needed to overcome barriers. By focusing on each individual’s strengths and potential, RISE helps members increase self-sufficiency and create positive, lasting impacts for themselves, their families, and their communities.
How RISE Works
Personalized Coaching
RISE Coaches play a key role in supporting members as they move toward self-sufficiency. Coaches recognize that members are the experts of their own lives and create a supportive environment where their voices, choices, and experiences are honored. Through a hope-centered approach, Coaches help members identify meaningful goals, map out realistic pathways, and build a strong sense of agency. Along the way, Coaches provide guidance in goal setting, budgeting, resource navigation, and accountability—walking alongside members as partners to ensure they feel supported, capable, and empowered to create lasting change.
Weekly Classes
Achieving self-sufficiency goes far beyond budgeting alone. RISE classes are designed to support the whole person, incorporating financial literacy alongside professional and personal development. We believe that true financial stability is built when individuals also invest in their overall well-being—caring for their mind and body, strengthening parenting skills, and building healthy relationships—so that all areas of life are balanced and aligned for long-term success.
Community
Community is essential for lasting success because it provides connection, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. People are more likely to reach their goals when they feel supported and not alone. RISE members are surrounded by support from the peers they connect with in class and the staff who walk alongside them throughout their growth.

“I am known for starting tasks and never finishing them when it comes to personal goals. RISE helps me with setting small attainable goals that I'm able to accomplish. They provide me with a coach to keep myself accountable and to keep my goals realistic. I feel more confident surrounded by people who care to see me succeed and who all have the same desire to be self-sufficient."
Alexis, RISE Member

“Since joining RISE, I have gained the motivation, support, and practical tools to actively work toward my goals. RISE has helped me realize that even big dreams are achievable when they are broken down into smaller, manageable steps. In the short time I’ve been apart of the RISE Foundation class, I have obtained a position as a Certified Peer Support Specialist, with hopes of continuing my education to become a counselor. I’ve also re-entered the banking system by opening a checking account and have continued to improve my budgeting skills each month, learning how to adjust and stay on track. RISE has truly given me hope and confidence in my ability to build a stable and meaningful future.”
Denise, RISE Member

“I think the biggest surprise was the budgeting aspect because I was never really strong with that, so I was surprised how well I could keep to a budget and how my credit score changed dramatically, so that was something that was a big deal.”
